Mandela Day 2014 saw The Early Care Foundation private sector partners – Pearson South Africa and the Spur Foundation – generously volunteer their time to support 16 of our home-based crèches in Bram Fischerville (Soweto) and Alexandra.

In the spirit of Madiba’s commitment to improving the lives of children, around 800 preschool children will benefit from the much-needed maintenance and improvements carried out on the existing limited facilities, as well as donations of reading books, bookshelves, playground equipment and other materials.
