Day Mother Program
A day mother cares for a maximum of 6 children in her home. The program is not accredited, but it is aligned to some unit standards on Level 2. The training has 3 modules and you will be assessed for competency. You will learn how:
- the rights and needs of children affect the service you offer to take care of babies, toddlers and young children
- to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children
- to observe and report on children’s developmental progress
- to administer the basics of a small child-caring business
Parental Workshops
These workshops use a poster campaign to deliver key messages about nutrition, rights, developmental areas, etc. to parents or guardians of babies, toddlers, and young children. The objective of the workshop is to encourage continued learning and stimulation at home through parental engagements.
At Early Care Foundation, we strive to make our programmes as accessible as possible.
Build Early
This is why we have started a digital training platform called “Build Early” which will make some of our in-person training programmes accessible to you on your phone. The model is a blended learning approach, which means that we will run an initial face-to-face training that will equip you to do the online training programme. In addition, participants will also get two visits at their preschool from our in-house trainers to help you implement what you’ve learned in your school environment. You can register your interest in the programme below.
